Moving from SiteBuilder to WebHostingPeople

WebHostingPeople offers the cPanel control panel for convenient website management. With cPanel, you can effortlessly host and manage multiple domains and email accounts. Our Standard WebHosting package includes cPanel for easy website management. Migrating from cPanel to cPanel is a simple process. However, migrating from SiteBuilder to cPanel is slightly more complicated. But don’t worry! Our Sys Admins will handle the process for you. All you need to do is back up your website from SiteBuilder and upload it to your WebHostingPeople account.

As you may know, SiteBuilder does not provide any control panels like cPanel for website management. It is designed for customers who have limited coding knowledge but still want to create a website. In this tutorial, we will explain how to take a full backup of your SiteBuilder project.

1) Log in to your SiteBuilder Management area and click on “Settings” in the Widget menu on the left side.

2) This will open a separate window for Site Settings. Scroll down to the bottom and click on the “Backup and Restore” button.

3) In the new window, you can create a new backup by clicking on the “Create a new backup” button.

4) Select whether you want to back up the current live published website or the website you are currently working on in the Editor. Fill in the Name and Comment fields. Once completed, click on the “Create Backup” button.

5) Once the backup is generated, you will see it in the list. Download the backup file to your local system.

Uploading the Backup to Your WebHostingPeople Account

After downloading the backup zip file, you need to upload it to your WebHostingPeople cPanel account. You can do this using cPanel’s File Manager or an FTP client like FileZilla. Once the upload is complete, open a support ticket to request a restoration of the backup file. You can do this through your Client Portal at https://my.WebHostingPeople.net >> Support >> Open New Ticket. Our support team will assist you with the migration process and respond to your ticket promptly.
