Migration from FastComet to WebHostingPeople

The transition from FastComet to WebHostingPeople involves moving your website from one hosting provider to another. Our goal is to make this process as smooth as possible. While FastComet and WebHostingPeople both offer cPanel control panel, it’s important to note that not all hosting providers provide the same range of features. At WebHostingPeople, we pride ourselves on offering unlimited domain hosting, unlimited email accounts, and databases to our customers.

To begin the migration process, make sure you already have a Standard Hosting package with us. Then follow these steps:

Step 1: Generating a Full Backup on FastComet

First, log in to your FastComet cPanel using either the URL below or the FastComet Client area:

http://example.com/cpanel

Once logged in, navigate to the “Backups” section under the “Files” tab. Here, you can generate a full cPanel backup. Simply click on “Download a Full Website Backup” and the backup will be generated and stored in your Home Directory.

Step 2: Downloading and Uploading the Backup

After receiving the backup completion email, log in to your WebHostingPeople cPanel and access the “File Manager” feature. From here, download the generated backup file from your Home Directory to your local machine using an FTP client like FileZilla.

Once downloaded, upload the backup to your WebHostingPeople cPanel account. You can use either the cPanel File Manager or FileZilla to complete this step. Step 3: Restoring the Backup

Once the backup has been successfully uploaded, open a ticket in your WebHostingPeople Client Portal at https://my.WebHostingPeople.net >> Support >> Open New Ticket. Inform our support team that you need assistance with the restoration process. If you only want to restore a specific domain, please specify this in your ticket. Our support team will promptly respond and guide you through the migration process.
