Migration of Website Hosting from LiquidWeb to WebHostingPeople

cPanel is widely used as a control panel worldwide, enabling convenient management of websites and settings through a user-friendly interface. WebHostingPeople offers a comprehensive range of cPanel features to our customers, including unlimited domain hosting, email accounts, and databases. Some hosting providers do not provide all of these features. Our Standard Webhosting package incorporates cPanel control panel for efficient website management, making the migration process from cPanel to cPanel very straightforward. LiquidWeb hosting also supports cPanel control panel, simplifying the migration of your websites to your account with us. In this tutorial, we assume that you already possess a Standard Hosting package with us. Let us now proceed with the steps involved in migrating your website from LiquidWeb to WebHostingPeople.

cPanel Migration from LiquidWeb to WebHostingPeople

The initial step involves logging into your LiquidWeb cPanel account to generate a complete cPanel backup. This will enable us to initiate the migration process. To achieve this, you can access your cPanel using either the provided URL or through your LiquidWeb client area. Ensure that the domain is correctly pointed to LiquidWeb and replace example.com with your specific domain name.

http://example.com/cpanel or https://example.com:2083

Once logged into your cPanel account, navigate to “Backups” under “Files” to create a fresh new full backup of your websites.

Download the Backup and Upload it to WebHostingPeople

Once the backup generation is finished, you will receive a confirmation email. Upon receiving the email, log back into your LiquidWeb cPanel account, where you can locate the backup file in the Home Directory. You can verify this by using the File Manager feature of cPanel. Proceed to download the backup file to your local machine using an FTP client such as FileZilla.

Once the backup file is downloaded, upload it to your WebHostingPeople cPanel account, either through cPanel’s File Manager feature or via an FTP client like FileZilla. Refer to our Knowledge Base article on transferring files using FileZilla to your account at https://www.WebHostingPeople.net/tips/kb/using-filezilla-to-upload-a-website/ for detailed instructions.

Upon completion, open a support ticket to restore the backup file, and our support team will handle the restoration process for you. You can open a ticket from your Client Portal at https://my.WebHostingPeople.net >> Support >> Open New Ticket. If you need to restore a specific domain only, kindly specify this scenario clearly in your ticket. Our support team will promptly respond to your ticket regarding the migration process.
